  I recently left a complaint through the online system concerning a recent experience at the Greenbelt Party City store. There was a total of 7 people in the store and all were in the check out line but there was only one cashier. There were at least two other employees in the store, but for some reason, when all customers in the store are trying to check out, there is only one cashier. It took over 40 minutes of standing in line before I finally asked for a second cashier to come over. Additionally, after I filed an online complaint, I received a call back from the manager at the Greenbelt Maryland store (7483 Greenbelt Rd). The manager, Alicia I believe, was rude, discourteous and I found the entire call off putting. First I was asked what time/date I went to the store - I explained that whenever the original online comment was submitted was when I was in the store as I submitted while standing in line - I couldn't remember what time as it had been a number of days from my visit to her call. She said she didn't have that information. I guessed and told her a time and she immediately said that was when the deliver truck comes. I feel like no matter what time I had said, that would have been her response. It was not the truth. The problem in the store was not the result of a delivery, but that's not the point, even if it was the truth. After many years in customer service myself, I know that you don't give excuses when a customer has a bad experience in your store. You take ownership and apologize for the experience, instead the manager is trying to start an argument with me. I explained I didn't really care whether or not I was there during a delivery and advised I needed to get back to work and didn't have time to figure out what time I had visited her store the week before. She abruptly and rudely stated the next time I was in the store I should ask for her and she would give me some free balloons. No, thank you, I will not be returning to this store and I will be sharing with others how disappointing the customer service is here.
